Skylar is a high school student who loves studying science and Spanish, rowing, and exploring the outdoors. She also treasures spending time with her family and her dog, Maddie.

Diagnosed with Minimal Change Disease when she was young, Skylar wrote So You Have Minimal Change Disease. Me, Too! to create the resource she wished she had when she was younger, one that could help another child and family better understand what they were going through.

That first book grew into the So You Have ... series. Inspired by experiences and people who have shaped her life, including years spent volunteering with people living with dementia. Skylar writes for children and families facing situations that can be difficult to understand. Through the series, she hopes to make complicated experiences easier to understand, talk about, while helping children and families feel less alone.
